Just Keep Posting!

I think it is safe to say that social media has taken over our lives. Can you even imagine a day without scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter?

Especially with the current pandemic, the only way we can safely communicate is through social media platforms.

However, social media isn't just for catching up with friends and family or stalking your crush; it is a business. You can find just about anything on these platforms and purchase it with just one click.

As a content creator, I know first hand the importance of social media engagement and advertising. There is plenty of evidence and proof that social media engagement and advertising work hand in hand. For example, this journal studies how consumers' engagement with social media platforms stimulates engagement with advertising embedded in posts on those platforms.

With this in mind, the first priority is to get the consumer to engage with your social media page. In order to do this effectively, according to the journal, content creators must come up with innovative ways to draw the consumer and be consistent to build a relationship, like Peloton.

Once the consumers are drawn into a social media platform, they are then driven to engage with the advertising that is included. For instance, this HelloFresh Facebook post drew consumers with its appealing videos, which, as a result, influenced conversions.

In addition, being consistent as a content creator is imperative to build relationships with consumers and encourage social media ad engagement. For example, Target does a fantastic job on each of their platforms, like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, being consistent with their posts and ads. Clearly, they know what they are doing because they get all of my money.

With that said, just keep posting, posting, posting!

Until next time, peace out! ✌️

xo, Sequoia
